Exceptional early years education. Built on stronger foundations.
Great early years education takes more than a thoughtful curriculum. It takes skilled educators, sustained professional development and an organisation designed to support, review and strengthen their work. That is the Bo Peep approach.
“We don’t simply ask our practitioners to deliver high standards. We build the support that helps them do so.”
For children, the difference is experienced in warm relationships, purposeful play, attentive adults and learning that builds over time. Behind those everyday moments is a wider commitment to educational quality.
THE FOUNDATIONS BEHIND OUR CURRICULUM
What makes our approach possible.
Our curriculum is delivered by the people children know and trust. It is strengthened by professional learning, additional oversight and thoughtful support beyond the classroom.
EDUCATORS
Skilled practitioners, continually developing
Our practitioners are supported through professional learning, reflective practice and the Bo Peep Leadership Academy. We invest in their development because the quality of adult interactions shapes children’s learning.
GOVERNANCE
Additional scrutiny across our settings
Our cross-site Governance Manager provides an additional perspective on educational quality, safeguarding, inclusion and children’s experiences. Working alongside nursery leaders, the role supports consistent expectations, constructive challenge and continuous improvement.
SUPPORT
More support behind each nursery
Nursery leaders and practitioners are supported by a wider team providing professional guidance and operational coordination. This helps our educators concentrate on relationships, learning and the individual needs of children.
CONTINUITY
Relationships that have time to grow
Our key-person approach, considered settling-in arrangements and attendance philosophy support familiarity, trust and sustained engagement. Children have opportunities to revisit ideas and build confidence over time.
INCLUSION
Education responsive to each child
Careful observation, partnership with families and appropriate specialist input help us adapt learning to children’s strengths, interests and additional needs.
EVERYDAY LEARNING
A curriculum lived throughout the day
Montessori-inspired resources, stories, movement, outdoor discovery, conversation and daily routines create meaningful opportunities for independence, communication and curiosity.
EVIDENCE, NOT JUST PROMISES
Our approach is supported by independent scrutiny.
At Brook Green, Ofsted’s 2026 inspection identified Strong performance in inclusion, behaviour, attitudes and routines, and leadership and governance. Curriculum and teaching, achievement, and welfare and wellbeing were judged Expected; safeguarding requirements were met. We present the full picture because trust depends on transparency.
These findings relate to the inspected Brook Green setting and should not be interpreted as a rating for any planned nursery.
THE ROLE OF THE PRACTITIONER
Resources support learning. Adults bring it to life.
A skilled practitioner notices the small moments: a new word, a shared discovery, a friendship taking shape. By listening, observing and responding with care, our team turns everyday experiences into meaningful opportunities for development.
LEARNING, NOT JUST ACTIVITIES
Learning woven through the day
Relationships and belonging
Warm greetings, familiar faces, friendship, thoughtful transitions and the reassurance of being known.
Mealtimes, self-care, problem-solving, sustained play and gradually growing responsibility as children prepare for their next stage.
WORKING WITH OTHERS
Children benefit from a wider circle of support.
Parents and carers are essential partners. Where a child needs additional support, our practitioners and SENCO can work with relevant local authority services and external professionals, with appropriate family involvement and information sharing.
External resources are provided for general information; access to individual services depends on eligibility and local referral arrangements.

REAL EXPERIENCES AT BROOK GREEN
What learning looks like at Bo Peep.
These examples come from activities and environments at our nursery. They illustrate opportunities we create for children's learning; the experiences and developmental progress of individual children will naturally differ.
Gardening club
Children explore plants and the outdoor environment. Caring for living things introduces responsibility, curiosity and the natural world through practical, hands-on experiences.
Creative expression
A modern-art-inspired activity invites children to experiment with materials, express their ideas and practise fine-motor coordination.
Karate and movement
Specialist karate sessions provide opportunities to practise balance, coordination, body awareness, listening and confidence.
Safari Week outdoors
Safari-themed exploration brings animals and habitats into imaginative play, encouraging curiosity, conversation and discovery.
Shared stories and language
Story time with a practitioner offers opportunities for vocabulary, listening, early literacy and enjoyment of books.
Purposeful learning resources
Accessible, age-appropriate resources invite children to make choices, investigate, compare and solve problems through hands-on learning.
Learning together
Small-group table activities create opportunities for turn-taking, communication, concentration and learning with others.
Learning about our community
Practical experiences around transport and everyday community life connect familiar subjects with communication, independence and understanding the world.
SCIENCE THROUGH DISCOVERY
Investigate, observe, wonder.
In this Montessori-inspired early science activity, children explore through practical investigation. Experiences like this offer opportunities to observe, question, predict and solve problems at their own pace.
SPECIAL MOMENTS
Shared experiences, shared joy.
Our Colour Run brought children together for an active group event, offering opportunities for movement, coordination, confidence and enjoyment.
SEND & INCLUSION · BROOK GREEN
Every child belongs. Every child can progress.
Inclusion at Bo Peep is practical, individual and collaborative. We have supported children with significant additional needs, including autism and cerebral palsy, working closely with families, local authorities and external specialists to help children participate and develop.
Bringing specialists together. Our nursery helps coordinate multidisciplinary support, hosting professional visits, assessments and family conversations. We contribute practitioners' observations to the Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) process and help put specialist recommendations into everyday practice. The local authority makes statutory EHCP decisions.
An environment designed for participation. Through a completed, audited grant programme, Brook Green introduced entrance and garden handrails, improved outdoor access, raised planting beds, adapted gardening tools and sensory learning resources. These improvements support children with different mobility, sensory and developmental needs.
Progress evidenced, not assumed. We assess the effectiveness of individual support through children's engagement and development, informed by practitioner observations and external specialist assessments. We have also accessed Special Educational Needs Inclusion Funding (SENIF) where appropriate.
Independent scrutiny: Brook Green was judged Strong for Inclusion in its February 2026 Ofsted inspection. Read the inspection report ↗
